Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders featured speaker at valley fundraiser

Former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders was the featured speaker for Mama's House seventh anniversary fundraising luncheon.

Mama's House, a Palm Desert-based nonprofit, provides shelter for women experiencing crisis pregnancies.

Organizers say they were delighted to have Sanders as a featured speaker at this years event.

Serving under President Trump, Sanders is the third woman and very first mother to hold the job of White House Press Secretary.

A representative for Mama's House tells News Channel 3 they're moving to a new location and expanding.

The property is a 4 bedroom home on a one acre site, about two miles from their current location.

Mama's House is not providing an address for the new site.

The organization has plans to add "6 or 7" new casitas at the site.
