‘The Slice’ & ‘Nothing Bundt Cakes’ delivers fresh food for National Guard working in Indio

The National Guard members helping here in the Coachella Valley were treated to a tasty meal today.

"The Slice" brought in pizzas and "Nothing Bundt Cakes" brought the dessert.

Members of the National Guard have been helping the Find Food Bank in their operations as demand for food assistance has increased since the coronavirus pandemic.

"My partner and I feel you gotta pay it forward. With things going on in the world right now, we are just really happy that the store is open and that we can have 14 of our 28 employees working right now and this is just a way to pay it forward. These people are the real heroes," said Jack Srebnik, owner of the Slice.

The team says they will remain in the Coachella Valley for as long as they are needed.
