Woman killed in ATV crash near Desert Hot Springs identified

Cal Fire confirmed that one person was killed Thursday evening following an off-road vehicle collision near Long Canyon Road and north of Corkill Road.

The Riverside County Coroner's Office said Maria Delagadillo, 35, of Desert Hot Springs died approximately an hour after the crash in an open desert area.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the Delgadillo was driving an ATV. Cal Fire reported the woman was thrown from the ATV after crashing at 6:38 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:44 p.m.

We have reached out to CHP for further details and are awaiting a response however the scene remains active.
