COD’s PaCE program offering free professional development training

College of the Desert's Partnership and Community Education program is offering 10 free self-paced professional development trainings to help residents facing the rapidly changing job market due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Free trainings include:
• Creating Web Pages
• Creating WordPress Websites
• Fundamentals of Supervision and Management
• Twelve Steps to a Successful Job Search
• Keys to Effective Communication
• Managing Customer Service
• Marketing Your Business on the Internet
• Personal Finance
• Small Business Marketing on a Shoestring
• Individual Excellence

Registration for the trainings is open until the end of June. Anyone is allowed to take part.

According to COD, each training takes approximately 24 hours to finish. Participants have three months of access from the time they start.

The trainings include a mix of hard and soft skills that provide opportunities for career growth and success.

"A great resource for students, job seekers and those currently employed, these trainings also offer personal and professional development during these complicated times," reads a news release by COD.

In addition to these, PaCE offers hundreds of other online professional development and personal enrichment training options.
