Mpox case reported in the Coachella Valley; second in less than a month
A new mpox case was found in the Coachella Valley, officials confirmed to News Channel 3.
County health spokesperson Jose Arballo Jr. told News Channel 3 that mpox was detected in a Coachella Valley man between the age of 25 and 34.
This would be the second confirmed case of mpox detected in the Coachella Valley in less than three weeks. On July 6, the county confirmed its first case new mpx case since December.

There is now a total of 318 mpox cases throughout Riverside County.
County health officials say this is a good reminder that there is a mpox vaccine and clinics are held regularly.
