Newsom appoints Agua Caliente Tribal Chairman Reid Milanovich to CA Native American Heritage Commission

Gov. Gavin Newsom announced today the appointment of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians chairman of Palm Springs to the California Native American Heritage Commission.

Reid Milanovich has been the tribe's chairman since 2022. He previously served as Tribal Council Vice Chair and from 2014 to 2019 he was a Tribal Council member.

Milanovich received a bachelor of arts degree from the California Baptist University in political science.

His appointment requires Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.
