Transgender immigrant representation at The Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival

The Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival will be screening “Belonging: A Trans Immigrant Story,” which features President and CEO of Parivar Bay Area, Anjali Rimi.  

The film follows Rimi’s experience as a South Asian transgender woman and her advocacy for other transgender individuals through her work with Parivar Bay Area. 

The film joins a collection of film festival selections that aim to showcase diverse perspectives and narratives in the LGBTQ+ community. 

News Channel 3’s Tatum Larsen is spoke with Anjali Rimi for details on her personal story and to Michael Green, the CEO of The Palm Springs LGBTQ Film Festival, for more on the film selection process.
