A pedestrian was hospitalized with severe injuries after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening in Cathedral City.

The crash was reported at around 5:20 p.m. at the intersection of Date Palm Drive and Dinah Shore.

Police told News Channel 3 that the investigation showed that it appears the pedestrian will be at fault for the collision.

The vehicle was turning north onto Date Palm from Dinah Shore during a green light. The pedestrian was going west into the crosswalk against a red light when the two collided, police said.
