Local organizations host Kristallnacht remembrance ceremony in Palm Desert
Thursday marked the anniversary of Kristallnacht, also known as the Night of Broken Glass.
85 years ago today, the Nazis carried out a wave of antisemitic violence in Germany and Austria.
Thursday morning, the Jewish Federation of the Desert and Mensch International Foundation held an event in honor of the anniversary, featuring speakers and holocaust survivors sharing their stories to spread awareness.
