Two children airlifted to hospital after being hit by vehicle in Thermal

Two children were airlifted to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening in Thermal.

The crash happened at around 5:15 p.m. on the 54000 Block of Shady Lane in Thermal.

According to CAL FIRE, two juveniles were struck by a vehicle, suffering moderate to serious injuries. Both were transported by medical helicopter to area hospitals.

The incident has been turned over to law enforcement, CAL FIRE confirmed.
