Deputies respond to downed power lines throughout Thermal
Crews have been working to repair downed power lines in several parts of the valley Saturday afternoon.
Riverside sheriff's deputies say crews were called out to Shady Lane and Avenue 54 around 2:30 p.m. near Thermal for multiple power lines down.
According to Riverside County's Transportation Department, Shady Lane from 54th Avenue to Airport Boulevard was closed in Coachella Saturday at 4:20 p.m. because of downed power lines.
In Thermal, deputies responded to downed lines off Filmore. Three poles there blocked Airport Boulevard causing closures.
Riverside County's Transportation Department also says Van Bure Street from 58th to 60th Avenue in Thermal was closed on Saturday at 6:20 p.m. because of downed power lines.
