Body of missing hiker found in Whitewater ravine

The body of Hantae Kima was found in a ravine in Whitewater on Wednesday, the coroner's office announced.

Details on what might've led to Kim's death were not available, but the Riverside County Sheriff's Office confirmed there was no evidence of foul play.

61-year-old Hantae Kim of Chula Vista was last seen near the Fuller Ridge trailhead off of Black Mountain Road at 11 A.M. on July 7.

Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Office conducted a search along with its Rescue9 helicopter, but Kim was not found.

Search and rescue efforts continued through the following days with the assistance of additional search groups and law enforcement agencies, the agency noted.

Unfortunately, Kim's body was located today in a ravine deep into Whitewater, which spans across 2,851 acres.

The cause of Kim's death is unknow at this time. No additional details are available.
