Magnitude-3.3 earthquake near Idyllwild shakes the valley

IDYLLWILD, California (KESQ) - An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.3 rattled the Lake Hemet area Wednesday morning.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.  

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the initial quake struck at 5:43 a.m. and was centered 7 miles south of Idyllwild. It struck at a depth of about 9.9 miles.
