Search for theft suspects leads to heavy police presence near Desert Hot Springs

COACHELLA VALLEY, Calif. (KESQ) - There was a large police presence in unincorporated Desert Hot Springs Thursday afternoon as law enforcement searched for a grand theft suspect.

Deputies were out in the 17000 block of Corkill Road shortly after 2 p.m.

A Riverside County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said deputies were not able to locate the suspect.

Law enforcement was clearing the scene at around 4:30 p.m.
