“Best of Jimi FITZ and Friends” Music Performances to air on KDFX Fox 11 TV

The Gulf California Broadcast Company is proud to announce that KDFX, FOX 11 – Palm Springs will partner with Wendy Jayne Productions on a “Best of Jimi FITZ and Friends” music special benefitting the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission.

Hosted by News Channel 3 meteorologist Patrick Evans and CV104.3 radio host, musician and concert promoter Jimi “Fitz” Fitzgerald, the one hour special will air on FOX 11 Sunday, May 24th at 9pm following NASCAR on Fox, repeated Saturday, May 30th at 7pm, and will be available to watch online at the same time at KESQ.com/Livestream-Events.

The show will feature a variety of songs by well-known Coachella Valley musicians performing at past McCallum Theater events. The list of performers includes:

FAULTS OF ANDREAS, KAL DAVID AND LAURI BONO, JOHN CAREY, WILL DONATO, KEVIN HENRY, JOHN STANLEY KING, RONNIE KING, STEVE MADAIO, BARRY MINNIEFIELD, JIMMY PALMER, PENNY UNNIVERSITY, SERGIO VILLEGAS AND WENDY JANE.

“We are excited to be able to showcase some of the best musicians of our valley at a time when they are unable to perform due to the Covid-19 virus state guidelines”, says Gulf California Broadcast Company General Manager Jerry Upham. “At the same time the special will call attention to the funding issues surrounding the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission, and give viewers a chance to help out”.

In between performances, Patrick, “Fitz” and representatives from the rescue mission will showcase the needs of CVRM and viewers will be instructed how they can help.

“We appreciate the opportunity to present this program in an effort to raise much needed awareness and funds for the important work the Coachella Valley Rescue Mission does for our community”, says Executive Producer Jim Fitzgerald. “This special also gives music patrons who miss some of their favorite desert entertainers a chance to connect with them”.
