Enjoyable weather lingers through end of work week

A warm day across the desert with a high temperature of 84° recorded at Palm Springs International Airport. Similar temperatures will be with us for Friday as a ridge of high pressure remains in place over Southern California.

Cooler conditions will arrive for the weekend with highs forecast to drop into the 70s, but wind will be a factor on Saturday. Current future wind gusts look to top out near 30 MPH, weakening by Sunday.

A stronger storm system will move into the Southland Monday night. This system looks to bring widespread rain to the desert beginning Tuesday. Check back for updates as the timeline and impacts become clearer.
