Tracking cooler temperatures, rain chances and wind

Today Palm Springs and Thermal hit 86°, not record-breaking but well above average. Seasonal for Palm Springs is 69°. Seasonal for Thermal is 72°.

Tomorrow will be cooler, but still warmer than average in the upper 70s.

Monday night into Tuesday is when the changes really start. In addition to the High Wind Watch, the South Coast Air Quality Management District has issued a Wind Blown Dust Advisory.

A Fire Weather Watch is in place for the Santa Ana Mountains and Inland Empire on Tuesday.

Temperatures drop significantly by Tuesday. There's a chance for some rain Tuesday and Wednesday morning, with another slight chance on Saturday.

Temperatures will be in the 60s for most of the week and through the weekend.
