Mild to wrap up the week, gusty winds this weekend

Expect mild and sunny conditions today, with changes arriving for the weekend as a strong Pacific storm looms. The storm will drop up to ten FEET of snow in the Sierra, with Winter Storm Warnings and Blizzard Warnings in place in the mountains of NorCal.

In advance of that storm, a High Wind Watch will be in effect in the high desert from 8 a.m. Saturday morning until 10 p.m. Saturday night. This will likely become a High Wind Warning. Wind advisories are likely for Riverside County as well.

Gusty winds are likely most of the day Saturday, as the vigorous storm moves across the region.

So expect calm conditions to end the week, but unsettled weather arrives Saturday. Temps remain subdued through early next week.
