Winds ease a bit, but only briefly

Today will be calmer and fairly mild, but winds were intense over the weekend and have left damage and debris throughout the Valley. Gusts exceeded 50 m.p.h. in several Valley cities.

A Wind Advisory remain sin effect for the high desert through 9 a.m.

High pressure will hold steady from this afternoon into late Tuesday, but by Wednesday another front rolls through, promising more winds and the threat of showers around the region.

Due to reduced visibility, all major wash roads in Palm Springs are presently closed as of this morning.

Winds should be breezy through the day, but far less intense than they were over the weekend.

Highs remain cooler than normal most of the week, with warming for the weekend. Wednesday looks to be another windy day, but not quite as severe as the winds we experienced this past weekend.
