Comfortable & Drier into Weekend; Cooler Monday

Another comfortable and cooler than normal day across the Coachella Valley, with highs hovering in the upper 90s to near 100s today.

We're still watching for some lingering breezy conditions this afternoon and evening, but strongest west winds will be in the Banning Pass and Desert Hot Springs. Temperatures warm slightly Saturday as a weak ridge builds over the West Coast, only about a degree or so off from our seasonal average.

Drier dew points will make things very pleasant over the weekend.

That ridge doesn't stick around long--its kicked off to the east and followed by another area of low pressure bringing a small drop in temps cooldown Sunday through Tuesday. Right now Monday is shaping up to be the coolest day of our stretch.

It's one after another -- that system moves out by Wednesday, allowing high pressure to build and temperatures to rebound a tad warmer for the second half of next week. We may even see a little monsoonal moisture trying to sneak back into SoCal.
