Insider Blog: Winters are warming across the United States

Across the United States, winter is by far the fastest warming season for the majority of the nation. More than 220 locations have seen overall warmer temperatures throughout the winter season.

The vast majority of the locations analyzed have seen more warmer winter days. Palm Springs was one of the very few cities which has actually seen a decrease in warmer winter days, albeit by only one day. While winter may not be getting warmer here in the desert, every other season has seen considerable warming.

San Francisco on the other hand, is tied for second (along with Honolulu, Hawaii) place as the city which has seen the most warmer winter days, 27! This just goes to show how much climate change will impact different areas differently.
