Cooler today before warming into the weekend

Haley Clawson

There still remains a chance to see some wet weather this evening. Most of it will be held back by the mountains, but a few raindrops could fall onto the valley floor throughout the evening.

As the low pressure system moves off to the east, an offshore wind pattern will develop. This will bring in warmer and drier conditions starting Friday and continuing into the weekend.

A Winter Weather Advisory remains in place for our local mountains. This is specifically for elevations above 5,500 feet. Some additional snow is possible, but roads will be slippery so take caution if driving through these areas.

The next seven days look to be fairly consistent here in the desert. Temperatures will be close to the seasonal average in the upper 70s. It's weather like this that makes our valley the place to be... enjoy it!
