Excessive heat warning begins Friday

Highs pressure continues to push temps well above average, and as we head toward the weekend, highs are on the increase.

Areas of SoCal including the Coachella Valley will be under an Excessive Heat Warning both Friday and Saturday as temps climb well into the one-teens.

Expect highs nearly 15 degrees above normal (99) and then a little bit of a reprieve (but not much) as we move into next week.
