Tracking wet weather across Southern California today

It is a cool, cloudy, and wet day across much of Southern California. Our friends to the west have seen the bulk of the rain and severe weather. A few showers are still possible throughout the afternoon, but there will be little accumulation, if any. Highs today are in the 70s thanks to the cool air from this system. There may also be a few lingering breezes this evening. Skies will gradually clear throughout the night as the system passes.

Tomorrow will be simply beautiful. Highs will stay in the upper 70s thanks to the cool air lingering from the trough of low pressure. As the system passes to the east, weak high pressure will increase in its wake. This will cause gradual warming over the next several days through the weekend. Even with the warming weather, highs will only peak around 90°F. Another system will move in early next week, bringing in a cooling trend.

Gradual warming will begin tomorrow across the Coachelal Valley. Highs will peak this weekend in the lower 90s. Highs will then cool again heading into next week. Skies remain sunny, the air dry, and winds calm.
