Warm start to the week, cooler for midweek, warmer for the weekend

Happy Monday. We're starting off the week on a warm note. Highs today are in the lower 90s. That's slightly above the seasonal average of 90°F. The air is dry and winds are calm across the valley. Overall, it's a beautiful, but warm day in the Coachella Valley. Highs will still cool to the lower 70s/upper 60s early tomorow morning.

We are monitoring an area of low pressure off the coast in the Pacific. This low willl continue to stay off the coast tomorrow. Tuesday night/Wednesday morning, the low will begin to move inland. This will increase winds on Wednesday, particularly in the evening. It will also advect (move) cooler air into the valley, helping to lower temperatures by nearly 10°F compared to Tuesday. Temperatures start warming again starting Thursday, with highs peaking on Friday.

Temperatures stay consistent and slightly above average for Tuesday. Cooler and breezier weather moves in for Wednesday. Temperatures start warming again on Thursday, with highs peaking on Friday. Minor cooling through the weekend.
