Gas line ruptures in Coachella

A natural gas leak occurred in Coachella on Tuesday morning. City officials said a 4 inch gas line ruptured near Avenue 52 and Tyler Street. Hwy. 74 reopens after landslide

A slope that was damaged last year during the Cottonwood Fire forced Caltrans to close part of Highway 74 east of Hemet on Monday morning. Officials said SR 74 has reopened at Cranston Station after being closed in both directions due to a land/mudslide. Crews were called in to clear mud from the roadway. Idyllwild
