California gets a state dinosaur

It took about 66 million years, but California finally has a state dinosaur. Gov. Jerry Brown announced Saturday the signing of a bill making Augustynolophus morrisi the official dinosaur of the Golden State. Fossilized remains of the duckbilled creature that lived anywhere from 100 to 66 million years ago have been found only in California.

Riverside County to have pivotal role in CV Link Project

On Tuesday, Riverside County supervisors authorized the Economic Development Agency to handle all real estate services involving the CV Link, a pedestrian and light conveyance pathway that will ultimately stretch 50 miles through the Coachella Valley. Under the agreement with the Coachella Valley Association of Governments, the EDA’s Real Estate Division will oversee property acquisition
