Family of 5 homeless after Thermal mobile home fire

Firefighters responded to a double wide mobile home fire in Thermal that left two adults and three children without a place to stay on Tuesday afternoon.

The fire was reported shortly after 12:30 p.m. at the Oasis Mobile Home Park near the intersection of Avenue 70 and Pierce Street.

20 firefighters and 5 engine companies were assigned to put out the blaze at that mobile home.

One person was taken to the hospital in stable condition for smoke inhalation.

The American Red Cross has been requested to assist with the two adults and three children displaced by the fire.

Fire crews had the blaze contained at 2:53 p.m.
