Congressman Raul Ruiz reacts to Anthem Blue Cross’ plan to exit Obamacare in California

Anthem is pulling out of 16 of 19 regions in the state, including Riverside County.

The move will force thousands to change health care plans during open enrollment later this year.

Local congressman Dr. Raul Ruiz said the decision is the result of deliberate attempts by the Trump administration to undermine and destabilize the Affordable Care Act

“This is the reason why I introduced the Marketplace Certainty Act, which will bring stability to the market, help prevent insurers from leaving the exchange, and keep premiums from sky rocketing,” Ruiz said.
