Fire sparks near Lake Hemet
A small brush fire broke out near Lake Hemet Saturday evening.
A KESQ News Channel 3 and CBS Local 2 photographer camping at the scene said it sparked around 7 p.m. on the southeast end of the lake and that the flames grew quickly in the thick brush.
Crews with Cal Fire-Riverside County responded within 20 minutes of the first calls and were able to get it under control fairly quickly. Everyone in the area was safe. There is no word tonight on what caused it and the brun area was not big enough to warrant a county incident report.
