Pedestrian killed in Indio collision
Indio Police are investigating a deadly collision this morning at Avenue 43 and Calhoun Street.
It occurred Friday morning shortly after 6:00 a.m. just north of the freeway east of Jackson Street in a residential intersection just east of the Jackson Center Shopping Center.
Sgt. Dan Marshall with the Indio Police Department said a motorist struck a man who was walking there, the pedestrian died at the scene.
Authorities did not immediately release the name of the victim, who was between 20 and 30 years old.
