PSIFF’s “Student Screening Day” held at two local high schools
Monday was “Student Screening Day” for more than 1,300 high school students across the valley.
It’s all part of the 29th annual Palm Springs International Film Festival. The day, which was set aside just for the students, is now in its 11th year.
Both Palm Springs High School and Indio High School are hosting students from 10 different high schools for two days to screen movies from the film festival.
This year, students watched the documentary “Stumped” and the Turkish drama “Ayla, The Daughter of War.” Students got the opportunity to learn firsthand from the director, cast, and creators of the films in post-screening Q&A.
