Collision backs up I-10 traffic in Palm Desert
Police and firefighters cleared the wreckage of a two-vehicle collision off Interstate 10 Tuesday morning.
The collision in the westbound freeway lanes in Palm Desert had backed up traffic for more than a mile to Washington Street. Eastbound freeway traffic was not being slowed by the activity.
A gray sedan and maroon SUV were involved in the collision at 7:48 a.m. The freeway’s fast lane was blocked for a time, but all lanes were reopened at 8:03 a.m.
Traffic was then beginning to clear up, but still slow past Washington Street to the east. All traffic was back up to speed by 8:45 a.m.
