‘We’re working every day on something new,’ January One Class At A Time winner
The One Class At A Time award for the month of January was presented to Mrs. Bridget Foster from Rio Vista Elementary School in Cathedral City.
She is the new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) teacher at Rio Vista and works with all grade levels from prekindergarten to fifth grade. Mrs. Foster also runs the after school robotics club on Thursdays.
Currently, she is teaching her students coding, which enables them to apply the skills they learn while tapping into their creativity.
News Channel 3 surprised Mrs. Foster with the award, which is made possible through our partnership with the Walter Clark Legal Group.
Mrs. Foster said she plans to use the funds to purchase coding equipment for to start teaching her students how to code on computers.
