Increasing moisture and milder temperatures this week

We will continue to see daily high temperatures in the triple digits. Although, thankfully our temperatures will be at or below the seasonal average as opposed to above. This can be attributed to the ridge of high pressure shifting off to the east, bringing temperatures above average to Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

By mid-week, we will also begin to see a noticeable uptick in our moisture levels. We will see dew points rise starting tomorrow. Clouds cover in the valley will increase this week. While storms are possible, they will be isolated mainly to the higher elevations, if they form at all.

We are also tracking a storm system in the Pacific Ocean. Post-tropical Cyclone (PTC) Eugene briefly became a topical storm today before being downgraded back to a PTC. As of now, it is not expected to strengthen much further over the coming days. The remnants of the storm will make their way into southern California later this week. Although exact timing and locations are things, we are keeping a close eye on.

Moisture content this week will increase starting tomorrow. Although, Wednesday through Friday look to be the wettest days of the week. A slight chance for storms is possible on Wednesdays, thanks to the elevated moisture. It will also be fairly breezy tonight through Tuesday evening. Gusts in excess of 30mph on the valley floor are not out of the picture. Temperatures this week will be on the milder side, with daily highs below average expected this week.
