Clear out the streets in Desert Hot Springs, the annual Parade of Lights and Holiday Fest is coming to town

As the city of Desert Hot Springs celebrates its 60 years, the annual Parade of Lights and Holiday Festival comes to town.

Mayor Scott Matas announced at the 2023 State of the City that Fuego, the Firebirds Hockey Team mascot, will be this year’s Grand Marshal. This year's theme celebrates the legacy of community and holiday joy, "Christmas Traditions 1963-2023, Celebrating 60 Years." The parade will reflect the vibrant spirit of Desert Hot Springs, showcasing local groups, organizations, and the collective cheer of our residents. "The holiday season is a time for community, and our Parade of Lights is a perfect representation of this," said Mayor Matas. "We're excited to bring everyone together for a night highlighting our city’s festive spirit and celebrating our past 60 years."

The parade starts at Palm Drive & Mission Lakes Blvd., ending at Palm Drive and 2nd Street.

The Festival, with games and carnival rides, is at Palm & Pierson, post-parade.
