Breezy & cooler today, warming returns tomorrow

It's a breezy night around the Coachella Valley. Overall, our temperatures are running 5-10 degrees cooler than they have been, but they are still in the upper 80s. Given the onshore wind pattern, the west winds will be strongest in the most wind-prone communities and areas near the freeway. Keep in mind, there is a Wind Advisory in effect for Desert Hot Springs & the San Gorgonio Pass until midnight.

Temperatures will get a bit cooler tonight thanks to the winds.

The upper-level low that is moving into California today will quickly move off toward the east. In its wake, high pressure will move back in. This will lead to quick warming for the rest of the workweek. Temperatures will peak in the mid-low 90s on Friday before cooling a few degrees for the weekend.

Expect warming weather and sunny skies for the rest of the week. A few clouds move in for Saturday and Sunday. Highs stay in the lower 90s into next week, with the potential for a stray high in the upper-80s at the beginning of the week.
