Viewer video shows Deputies arrest suspect while “resisting arrest”
An anonymous video sent to News Channel 3 shows a suspect on the ground while three Riverside County Deputies punch and knee him.
The Sheriff's Department says in a news release that they responded to a call of a man "disturbing the peace" Monday just after 11 in the morning.
When Deputies approached, the Sheriff's Department says that he became combative and resisted arrest. A news release says that Deputies had to use physical force to detain that man.
Deputies did end up arresting Garrett Torro, 35 years old and a resident of Banning.
Both Torro and Deputies received what the Sheriff's Department calls minor injuries.
The anonymous viewer that sent us the video also says that he was concerned how the Deputies approached the scene at what this person describes as high speed, running a red light all without lights or sirens.
