Person dead following medical issue & crash at local resort

A person is dead following a single-vehicle collision at a golf resort in Desert Hot Springs.

The collision was reported just before 6:00 pm at the Hidden Sands RV, Golf, & Racquet Club on Bubbling Wells Road.

The California Highway Patrol said the driver had suffered a medical issue and died. Officers are working to figure out if the person died from the medical issue before crashing or if they died because of the crash.
