CHP & Riverside Sheriff’s Department searching for alleged truck thief in Coachella

CHP and the Riverside Sheriff’s Department are currently searching for an alleged truck thief on the 56-000 block of Grapefruit Boulevard in Coachella.

CHP says that there was a report of a stolen pickup truck around 10:15 a.m this morning according to Deputy Munoz of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

When CHP arrived on the scene they found the suspect in the car. The suspect fled the vehicle on foot, was hit by a Taser shot by a CHP officer, but was able to free himself and flee the scene.
