Coachella Valley Animal Campus holds ‘Clear the Shelter’ event

The Coachella Valley Animal Campus held its annual ‘Clear the Shelter’ event in Thousand Palms on Saturday.

Cats, dogs and bunnies could be adopted for a little more than four dollars and the shelter also covered costs for spaying, neutering and vaccinations.

“She’s adorable. I saw her about a week ago and I had to get her. I came back today to get her and multiple people wanted her so I had to get her in a raffle. I love that people are taking dogs home because its sad they’re here without homes,” said new pet owner Joseph Covarrubias.

The goal was to get every pet into a safe home and to raise awareness about homeless pets in the Coachella Valley.
