Staying dry for now with more mid-week rain chances
An area of low pressure continues to filter in cooler air into the region. That trend will stick around today with temperatures reaching the upper 50's. Through Tuesday there will be a slow warming trend as an area of high pressure builds north, but temperatures will still remain below normal.
Over the last three days, the Coachella Valley and surrounding mountains have seen significant precipitation.
Snowfall at times reaching below 3000 ft. Rain in Palm Springs recording 0.69". The peak of Mt. San Jacinto estimating near 8 feet of snow!
There are more precipitation chances Tuesday night and Wednesday as an area of low pressure moves into the region. This storm is not expected to be as strong or as cold but could bring near 0.25" of rainfall to the desert with snow elevations much higher
Watching a slow cooling into the lower 70's by Monday.
