Woman dies after collapsing at Bernie Sanders rally in Rancho Mirage

The Riverside County Coroner's Office publicly released the identity of a High Desert woman who passed away Monday evening.

70-year-old Ida Foreman Fick experienced a medical emergency and collapsed during Democratic Presidential Nominee Bernie Sanders' rally in Rancho Mirage on Monday evening.

Foreman Fick, a Joshua Tree resident, was transported to Eisenhower Health in Rancho Mirage where she was pronounced dead at approximately 8:41 p.m., according to the Coroner's office.
