Recount In Rancho Mirage Election To Happen Monday

Losing the Rancho Mirage City Council race by 11 votes, candidate Ira Laufer requested a recount of the votes from the April 13th election.

News Channel 3 has learned that recount will take place Monday, April 26.

The counting will be done by hand, and will begin at 9am. Four people will be counting the ballots in an effort to settle the winner for the third seat on the Rancho Mirage City Council.
