Trial Begins For Doctor Accused Of Stealing Identities

The trial of a Palm Springs doctor is set to begin today in Riverside.

Gynocologist Lisa Carden is accused of stealing patient and other doctors’ identities to get herself painkillers.

She faces 276 felony charges, including forgery, possession of controlled substances and identity theft, for allegedly using patients’ personal information and other doctors’ prescription pads to obtain painkillers for herself.

A note– Barden is in no relation to another OBGYN in Palm Springs, also named Dr. Lisa Boden.

Again she has a similar name and profession– but is NOT related to this case in any way.
