Woman Accused Of Killing, Driving Around With Body For Hours
A Yucaipa woman is in custody, today, accused of killing her sister-in-law then driving around with her body for several hours.
Police arrested 48-year-old Sandra Kotz early Sunday morning.
She led officers to her Dodge Neon where they found the body of 58-year-old Ellen Bayless covered in an accelerant as if ready to be set on fire.
The car was parked in a field.
Police were tipped off to the crime by Kotz’s sister.
She said Kotz admitted to the killing over the phone.
The family says Kotz had been homeless until Bayless let her move in to her Yucaipa home.
