Search For Gunman Locks Down Elementary School
Indio police confirm to News Channel 3 that Hoover Elementary School in Indio was locked down for a short time Monday.
They say someone called in saying they saw a man with a gun near the intersection of Miles and Monroe, and also heard shots in the area.
Indio police got to the area, and found a man who matched the description, and detained him. They were not able to find anyone who was shot.
School is now back open, and police say the children were never in any harm.
