Javier Bardem To Receive International Star Award At Palm Springs Film Fest
Academy Award winner Javier Bardem will receive the International Star Award at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala in January, officials announced on Wednesday.
The Awards Gala will kick off the 2011 awards season on Saturday, January 8 at the Palm Springs Convention Center and will be hosted by ?Entertainment Tonight?s? Mary Hart.
The International Star Award recognizes an actor or actress who has both critically and commercially made the successful cross over from foreign-language films to mainstream international recognition, organizers said.. Bardem will join previously announced honorees Jennifer Lawrence and Carey Mulligan. The Festival runs January 6-17.
