Rain Cancels Interstate 10 Shutdown In Palm Springs For Monday Night

CalTrans confirmed late Monday they have canceled Monday night’s planned work on the new Indian Canyon overpass, meaning Interstate 10 will not shutdown Monday night.

Heavy rain in the Palm Springs area is to blame, a spokesperson told News Channel 3.

They said they will try to install the girders across the freeway again Tuesday and Wednesday night.

Since the forecast called for more rain, they said they may have to wait until after the first of the year to conduct the work.
