Wind Gusts Of 60 mph Expected In Coachella Valley
The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for the Coachella Valley and surrounding mountain areas on Sunday.
The advisory takes effect at 2 p.m. on Sunday and ends at 1 a.m. on Monday.
The bulletin from the NWS said winds will pick up rapidly on Sunday as a low pressure trough moves in from the northwest.
Wind gusts in excess of 60 miles-per-hour were expected along the mountain ridge tops, down the slopes, extending to the desert floor.
